Marie-Madeleine Fourcade was the only woman to lead a large and complex French resistance network during WWII from 1941 through 1945 and the liberation of France. A young mother living a life of privilege in high society Paris, she ran in social circles with the well-connected with whom she would discuss the issues of the day which at that time of course included the threat of Nazi Germany's aggression in Europe.
